Invariable is led by Nick Jones. His work has combined operating responsibility with engineering, technology and risk leadership across complex businesses.
Operating responsibility.
As Vice President, Engineering for the US subsidiary of a large Japanese-owned multinational technology company, Nick had nearly 600 people within his operating scope, including more than 500 engineers.
Earlier, he was Chief Information & Technology Officer and board-appointed Chief Risk Officer for the group’s Australian operation. His work included advising the board on cybersecurity and risk, and leading a major greenfield SAP S/4HANA deployment on AWS.
In a multinational supply-chain logistics business, he led the APAC IT function and was the strategic technology partner to the regional CEO, with approximately 60 people across the region.
An operating example
Global design.
Regional readiness.
During a global SAP ECC EHP8 upgrade, APAC country workflows needed to be validated within a fixed global go-live framework.
Alongside normal regional IT operations, Nick coordinated business testing, technology capacity, country readiness and local leadership communication. He identified technical gaps and ensured regional workflows were tested within the global framework.
Regional testing and readiness were completed, and APAC met the global go-live successfully.
The operating work was in the connections: capacity, ownership and readiness across markets.
